About the Database of Zhongshan Station
Aurora, often called as northern light, is the only upper atmospheric phenomenon that can be seen by naked eyes or cameras, and the all-sky TV camera (ASC) is one of the ground-based instruments for optic aurora study. The Zhongshan ASC has been operating during austral winter since 1995, and all data set except 1996 has been recorded.

Keogram data
The ASC keogram data (Fig. 1) is composed by extracting the magnetic meridian line (the dash line from M.S. to M.N. in Fig. 2) from every captured auroral sequence image and showed along Y-axis with color-coded intensity profile. -
Aurora All-sky TV camera at Zhongshan Station
The all-sky TV camera (ASC) is one of the ground-based instruments for aurora morphology observation. With its wide field of view (FOV) and high spatial and temporal resolution, the ASC is often used as a very effective tool to study the magnetospheric structure and dynamics.
